With the establishment of the NEW Party, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey convened for the first time with the new political composition. During the session, a temporary seating arrangement was implemented due to the increase in the number of political party groups to seven. The NEW Party was positioned next to the AKP, while the CHP was positioned between the DEM Party and the MHP groups.
The New Party, founded by Manisa MP Özgür Özel and 90 other MPs who resigned from the CHP, has also affected the seating arrangement in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The CHP, which had occupied the main opposition seats for 24 years, is now positioned between the DEM Party and the MHP under the new arrangement.
