LAKE LURE—Construction is underway on a new Rainbow Bridge at the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, replacing a memorial that was destroyed by Hurricane Helene in 2024. The original Rainbow Bridge was located in the gardens of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge and served as a memorial for people who had lost beloved pets.
