More evacuation orders and alerts south of Pear Lake wildfire
Crews are bolstering containment lines and using planned ignitions as the wildfire threatens more than 100 properties and Highway 99 access.

- A new wildfire near Jacko Lake, south of Kamloops, has rapidly grown to about half a square kilometre and is out of control, but no evacuation advisories have been issued as no structures are at imminent risk.

KAMLOOPS — A new lightning-caused wildfire has been spotted south of Kamloops on Saturday (Aug 22).
