Eating meat remains firmly rooted in Dutch eating habits. Despite a slightly greater appreciation for meat substitutes, it appears that in every age category, at least 93 percent of the Dutch say they consume meat. Young men (18-24 years) are the most loyal to a portion of animal protein: 100 percent of them say they consume meat.
