Peer-Reviewed 411-Patient Study Reports Low Infection Rates with Myriad™ in Complex Soft Tissue Reconstruction
The interim registry analysis covered 411 patients and found deep tissue infection in 0.7% and superficial infection in 2.9%, authors said.
Aroa Biosurgery announced peer-reviewed publication of interim MASTRR Registry results in Advances in Therapy, covering 411 patients and 474 soft tissue defects treated across 10 United States sites.
The study evaluated Myriad Matrix and Myriad Morcells in a challenging population where approximately 59% were ASA Class III or IV, 35% had diabetes, 30% had vascular disease, and 23% used nicotine.
Despite the complexity, deep tissue infection occurred in 0.7% of patients and superficial infection in 2.9%, rates Aroa noted compare favorably against 16% to 25% reported for other resorbable synthetic bioscaffolds.
Aroa CEO Brian Ward stated the publication marks an important milestone for Myriad, supporting clinical evidence and building on 54% sales growth in FY26.
The MASTRR Registry remains ongoing with more than 550 patients currently enrolled across 15 United States sites and is approved to enroll up to 800 patients for further analyses.
