Adrian Meronk of LIV Golf Rallies to Win Dunhill Links and Secure European Tour Membership
Meronk shot 68 to finish 20-under and earn a full European Tour card for 2027 after coming from four shots behind.
On Sunday, Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews, Scotland, finishing 20-under par and defeating Casey Jarvis and Niklas Norgaard by two shots.
Meronk, the 2023 World Tour player of the year, defected to LIV Golf after being omitted from the Ryder Cup team in Rome, though he accepted a deal earlier this year to retain European tour membership.
Overcoming a four-shot deficit with a final-round 68, the 33-year-old Polish player gained the lead after Jarvis missed the green on the 17th and failed to save par.
Securing a full European card for 2027, Meronk said, "I never usually cry, but this one feels really special," providing stability amid LIV Golf's ongoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
To ensure his status for 2027, Meronk will compete in the Spanish Open next week, cementing his European tour presence.
