The tri-fold flagship debuts Huawei’s first Kirin 9050 Pro phone and adds privacy, camera and on-device AI features, the company said.

- The Kirin 9050 Pro chip delivers a dual leap in performance and energy efficiency, improving overall device performance by 42% compared to the previous generation through deep collaboration between hardware, software, chips, and cloud.
- Its True-to-Color Camera 3.0 improves color reproduction by 95% compared to the previous generation, while the Xuanwu Ultra-Durable Tri-Fold Architecture re-engineers hinge and screen technology for layered protection.
- The phone natively supports the Pangu 30B-A2B MoE LLM to enable smart features, while the Mobile Security Processor provides dual protection and has passed EAL5 and CCRC security certification.
- Powered by HarmonyOS 7, the Mate XT2 redefines large-screen interaction experience and launches amid intensifying competition in the foldable smartphone market as Apple prepares its first entry.
