A seat on the Brookhaven School District Board of Trustees will have a new occupant come Jan. 1, 2026. Board member Jason Childress will vacate the seat on Dec. 31. A special election to fill the vacancy will take place Tuesday, Nov. 4. Regular board elections take place in February, with terms beginning in March.
