International Report - In Germany, "Hungry Stones" Touch with Drought

In Germany, the historical drought of 2026 brings back memories of the past in the rivers of the country: carcasses of warships dating from the Second World War, skeletons of soldiers and, in the East, near Dresden, "stones of hunger". More known as Hungersteine, these stones normally immersed in the water appear when the level of the Elbe is very low. At the time, their appearance was an indication of famine.
