- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Delhi Pollution Control Committee's Integrated Command and Control Centre at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's IT Park in Shastri Park on Thursday to strengthen air pollution monitoring.
- Ahead of the winter season, the ICCC aims to combat air pollution by integrating technology and field enforcement. Gupta explained the system follows the principle: "Detect, Analyse, Act, Verify."
- Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the centre uses AI-driven cameras to monitor more than 700 construction sites; it integrates Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras to enforce the "No PUC, No Fuel" movement.
- Field teams will coordinate with the centre, with 78 sub-division-level units deployed to track pollution hotspots. The government launched a "Jan Suggestion" portal allowing citizens to report concerns and share pollution-related data.
- Environment Minister Sirsa noted the government has planted 72 lakh trees to expand green cover, emphasizing that pollution-control efforts continue 365 days a year to ensure cleaner air for future generations.
