At the end of September, two foreign truck drivers took advantage of the free emergency lane on the D1 motorway outside Brno. During the Friday morning rush hour, they decided not to waste dozens of minutes in a queue and started driving past the waiting cars. First, one driver drove out of the traffic jam, followed by another. Both were driving on a section where overtaking by trucks is prohibited.
