- Relatives noticed a dark mark around Talib's neck at the burial ground and observed Ilma's "unusual behaviour," including packing household belongings before the funeral.
- Police are now coordinating with Muzaffarnagar authorities to exhume Talib's body for a post-mortem examination, Lohiya Nagar SHO Sumit Tomar stated.
- Based on a complaint filed by Talib's cousin Akram Ali, police registered an FIR against Ilma and Aman, with family members alleging an affair motivated the crime.
