IMG DAY: Bulls Fall Spot but All 14 Stay in Super League as London Debate Grows
Wakefield scored 17.85 points and earned Grade A status as all 14 incumbent clubs again secured places in the competition.
On Thursday, October 08, 2026, the RFL released the 2026 IMG club gradings, with Grand Final winners Wakefield Trinity topping the standings for the first time with a score of 17.85 out of the maximum 20.
Introduced in 2023, the grading system evaluates clubs across five pillars including performance and facilities. All 14 existing Super League clubs retained their top-flight status, as no ranking changes occurred within the top 14 positions.
Championship club Doncaster RLFC improved to 17th following a strong season, while London Broncos ranked 16th despite their Grand Final victory. Both clubs remain below the elite threshold.
London Broncos appear set for admission to an expanded 15-team Super League in the coming days, a move requiring confirmation by RFL officials and a vote by top-flight clubs.
Doncaster chief executive Carl Hall expressed optimism about the club's trajectory, noting that league expansion could open the door for ambitious teams to challenge at the elite level.
