Speaking to the IAEA's Board of Governors, Grossi said the watchdog's lack of information on Iran’s nuclear program is a "serious proliferation concern" and "needs to be rectified."
Vienna: IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said that during the recent period, the Agency had not received any information from Iran on the status of declared nuclear material or facilities, nor had it been able to access any of these facilities for field verifications.
The legal suspension of cooperation with the IAEA has not verified Iran's nuclear reserves since mid 2025, while Rafael Grossi warns that the agency lost the continuity of its knowledge about Tehran's program.
Rafael Grossi warns of a "serious concern for proliferation" against the impossibility of verifying the nuclear material declared by Tehran and calls for an urgent return to diplomacy.
