Yogi Adityanath announces pay hike, Rs 5 lakh cashless healthcare scheme for Anganwadi workers in UP
The revised structure raises the monthly honorarium for Anganwadi workers from Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000, while Anganwadi helpers will now receive Rs 6,000 instead of Rs 4,000. The UP government has also announced cashless healthcare coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh for both workers and helpers.
In a program organized in Ayodhya, CM Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to the newly appointed Anganwadi workers and helpers. On the eve of full stop Nutrition Month, he announced 4 schemes including honorarium hike, health cover of Rs 5 lakh, increase in the number of sarees and facility of smartphone.
According to Women and Child Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya, 71,310 Anganwadi workers and assistants have been recruited in the state. These include 21,804 Anganwadi workers and 49,506 assistants.
