On Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at 1:20 a.m. a Polk County deputy and K9 on patrol south of the Village of Dresser travelling on Hwy. 35 were stuck along the driver’s side of the squad by a UTV. The UTV fled after striking the deputy. The deputy and K9 were not injured however the squad sustained major damage. The operator and passenger in the UTV were located at a later time.
