Arrest Made in Hattiesburg Death Investigation

The Hattiesburg Police Department is investigating the death of a minor following a call for assistance on September 4, 2026, at approximately 9:32 a.m. in the 1000 block of Edwards Street. As part of the investigation, Laquita Presley, 37, of Hattiesburg, was arrested and charged with felony child abuse.
