- Kali Galanis repeatedly attempted to reach her daughter throughout the evening, including a 9 p.m. text reading "Appelle moi" , while Luciano Frattolin reported his daughter missing at about 10 p.m. that day.
- Searches for "Melina" and "Wildlife viewing hut" appeared on Luciano Frattolin's phone after he allegedly left the area where her body was found, prompting defence lawyer Brian Pilatzke to question whether the child conducted the searches.
- Luciano Frattolin has been held without bail since his arrest in July 2025 after pleading not guilty to second-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse, as trial proceedings continue in New York.
