After the revelation by "Free Midi" of the images of a municipal policeman from Carcassonne, a member of the National Rally and his service of order, the party announced his exclusion and the mayor's suspension. A judicial investigation had been opened at the beginning of the year.
A video aired on Tuesday by Midi Libre shows a municipal policeman from Carcassonne, who was incarcerated in the RN, making racist and conspiracy statements. The prosecution opened an investigation on Wednesday 9 September, causing an avalanche of political reactions.
