GNR Holds Six Men and Seizes More than Four Thousand Liters of Fuel in Albufeira

In recent weeks, there have been several seizures in the Algarve of tankers, by the GNR and the Maritime Police, associated with drug trafficking by sea.
This type of collection is supposed to be carried out for subsequent use in the supply on the high seas of vessels engaged in drug trafficking or in favour of irregular migration.
The officers were able to intercept nine men: six, aged between 21 and 46 years, were arrested; one 18-year-old was accused; and two others, younger, were identified.
The operation took place near Praia do Castelo. GNR seized approximately 4175 liters of fuel, three cars and six mobile phones. The GNR content seized 167 hierarchs of fuel and held six men in Albufeira appears first in Barlavento.
About two hundred Jerricans and two vehicles were seized by the GNR in the vicinity of Castelo beach in Albufeira.
Suspects of foreign nationality would be trying to pass fuel to a high-speed boat in the vicinity of Castelo Beach.
