- Brent Crude prices have climbed back above $100 per barrel amid market volatility. Analysts estimate that every $10 per barrel increase in oil prices results in roughly 7p added to pump prices per litre.
- President Trump has indicated consideration of a ban on American diesel sales overseas, posing risks for regions dependent on imports from American and Norway sources. A planned fuel duty increase remains postponed until the end of December.
- The RAC has called for maintaining fuel duty at current levels through the end of Parliament. Additional pressures may emerge if American officials implement proposed restrictions on diesel exports.
