In Çarşamba district of Samsun, agricultural lands and hazelnut orchards were flooded for the second time in 17 days following heavy rains. Producers and seasonal agricultural workers in the harvest season were negatively affected. Kazım Yılmaz, President of Çarşamba Trade Exchange, stated that producers suffered serious losses and emphasized the need to improve infrastructure and drainage systems.
Heavy rainfall in Çarşamba district of Samsun province flooded numerous houses and agricultural lands. This was the second flood in the district in 17 days, and agricultural areas in more than 30 neighborhoods were damaged. Damage was particularly severe to hazelnut orchards and vegetable production areas.
