FG, States, LGs Share ₦2.338trn August Revenue

- The Federation Account Allocation Committee shared N2.338 trillion in August 2026 revenue among the Federal Government, states, and Local Government Councils during a meeting in Abuja.
- Total gross revenue available for distribution reached N3.685 trillion in August, with N125.142 billion deducted for collection costs and N1.221 trillion allocated to transfers, refunds, and savings.
- Distributable funds comprised N1.565 trillion in Statutory revenue and N773.233 billion from Value Added Tax , with gross VAT revenue rising to N834.843 billion from July's N793.968 billion.
- The Federal Government received N804.897 billion from the distributable revenue, while state governments were allocated N794.313 billion, with Local Government Councils receiving the remainder.
- Petroleum Profit Tax, Value Added Tax, and Excise Duty increased significantly in August, while Companies Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Mineral Royalties recorded considerable declines.
