The scheme was relaxed with the possibility for fishermen to choose their 30-day period of inactivity in a six-week extended window between 15 January and 27 February. The prohibition will apply to vessels of eight metres or more using pelagic trawls, bottom beef trawls, pelagic seines, calved gillnets, tremails or combined gillnets, lists the order.
