Forecasters reported hydrological drought on the Dniester
Ukraine and Moldova, in connection with the critical exchange of the Dniester, agreed on a new reduction of discharges from the Dniester reservoir.
The water spills in Ukraine will be reduced, and Nistru's flow will fall to 60 cubic metres per second in the next two weeks. Ukraine had initially proposed a further reduction, up to 50 cubic metres per second, but the two countries reached a compromise at the Nistrene Commission meeting.
