Representatives of nearly 200 countries concluded Friday the United Nations talks on desertification in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, looking for ways to maintain productivity on earth as climate change increases the temperature of the planet and degraded soils and landscapes lose their ability to retain water, produce food and sustain livelihoods.
