In 2023, 184,607 work accidents were registered in Portugal, at least 15 to the 184,622 registered in 2022. Of these, 136 resulted in deaths, a decrease of 3.5% to 2022.
98.9% of deaths were due to accidents and only one case was due to occupational disease.
