Cuba won four medals and sixth place among 21 countries in the 41st Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad in Buenos Aires. Marcel Gamez Salvó won gold; Erick Díaz Pérez, silver, and Heidy Rodríguez Fuentes and Diego García Rodríguez, bronze. The delegation also rose with the Puerto Rico Cup, in its recent best result in this contest.
