Courtenay's 6th Street Bridge to close temporarily Aug. 19

The City of Courtenay announced that the Sixth Street Bridge will be closed for the morning on Aug. 19, and will reopen to the public in the afternoon. The announcement on the city’s Facebook page said the temporary closure is to ensure the public’s safety while the new Welcome Pole by artists Karver Everson, Junior Henderson and Jalen Henderson-Price is installed at Simms Park.
