- Wright and Navy insider Juan Carlos Aragon created Georgia-based C&C Power Solutions LLC near Wright's retirement, planning for Aragon to become a 50% partner once he left the service.
- Between 2016 and 2022, the pair submitted fraudulent invoices and fabricated bid documents to the Navy's Mobile Utilities Support Equipment division, defrauding the military out of approximately $9,128,515.
- Juan Carlos Aragon, who accepted kickbacks to steer contracts to CCP, pleaded guilty to bribery and received 12 months and one day in prison plus $97,960 in restitution.
- Prosecutors argued this "was not an isolated lapse in judgment," noting Wright "repeatedly participated in deceptive conduct designed to undermine a competitive federal procurement process" investigated by the Defense Criminal Investigative Service.

LOS ANGELES (KEYT) – Cory Taylor Wright, 49, of Columbus, Georgia, was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for defrauding the U.S. Navy out of over $9 million through a bid-rigging and contract-steering scheme involving a fellow military insider. Wright previously pled guilty to one count of wire fraud in August of last year.
