A man was hospitalized for a week after falling ill at a swimming pool in Újbuda, and he wasn't the only one: several people complained of a pungent smell and then a cough. The staff was at a loss, and the pool is not reopening for now. The swimming pool manager believes that too many chemicals may have gotten into the water, but the exact cause is still being investigated.
The swimming pool operator, Újbuda Sportjaért Nonprofit Kft., immediately launched an investigation after the incident, which is currently ongoing.
