Almost 50 suspects were arrested in an international operation against a drug trafficking network whose members are from the Western Balkans, the daily announced.

Among the suspects are citizens of Serbia and BiH. Europol alleges that members of the network and their families have been the targets of violent retaliation.

After almost four years of investigation, the Slovenian Criminal Police have uncovered six international criminal organizations linked to drug smuggling, arms trafficking, extortion and violent crimes.
