The Socialist Secretary-General believes that the government will not change what it has already submitted to the PS bench and warns that cuts in pensions or tax increases would be unacceptable.
"I do not see that the government is presenting a proposal that substantially alters what it has already submitted to the leadership of the parliamentary bench," said the socialist leader.
The Socialist Secretary-General states that he has already given his word to the Portuguese and will never push Portugal "to a precipice of the unknown in an international context like those in which we are living"
Carneiro said that if the OE2027 "brings cuts in pensions, increases in taxes, changes in the National Health Service" that would be unacceptable.
