Walking into a supermarket, the dazzling array of "sell by," "best by," and "use by" dates on food packaging can often leave people confused. To avoid wasting food due to labeling confusion, a new labeling law in California officially went into effect on July 1st, making it the first state in the US to fully implement "food labeling standardization."
