California regulators approve new rules limiting what replacement tires you can buy for your car
The rules phase in in 2029 and 2033 and could save Californians $1 billion a year on fuel, regulators said.

- The state estimates drivers will save approximately $1 billion annually on refueling costs. While efficient tires may cost $6 to $26 more per set, the commission projects net savings of $153 over the tire's lifetime.
