Berlin seeks tougher security measures after Pride attack

The Ministry of Justice and the Interior have presented a ten-point programme for protection against Islamist terror. It provides for legal reinforcements, but also for more prevention.
After the terrorist attack on the Berlin CSD at the end of July, the Federal Government wants to tighten the security laws. The Cabinet has launched a ten-point plan for this. At the core of the plan is on tightening up criminal penalties and stricter rules for court decisions.
The Federal Government wants to take more determined action against terror, propaganda and violence. In future, more dangerous will be monitored, knife attacks more severely punished. Minister of Justice Hubig spoke of a "serious danger".
