- The team observed an atom colliding with a mystery particle, rating the findings 2.6 sigma; however, there is currently low statistical evidence of a true breakthrough.
- "With only one event, we don't want to get ahead of ourselves," said Professor Rick Gaitskell from Brown University, emphasizing the team is not yet claiming to have seen dark matter.
