- While 16 of the missing tourists were from Thanjavur, others originated from neighboring districts and northern Tamil Nadu, all participating in a tour organized by a Kumbakonam-based travel agency.
- Collector Revathi reviewed the blood sample collection on Saturday; according to official sources, testing will continue for a few more days.
