Iran executes man over charges related to January protests, state media says
Summary
Iran executed a man on Thursday over charges related to January's nationwide protests, state media reported. State media identified the person as Qaem Hosseini, a foreign national, who, it said, took part in events that led to the killing of security force members during the protests.
Iran has executed a foreign national for involvement in the killing of four police officers during protests in January, the hardline regime's judiciary said.
Executions have increased in Iran since the beginning of the war triggered by Israeli-American strikes on 28 February and a large part of these people have been for their participation in the demonstrations.
