The top talents Kennet Eichhorn and Francis Onyeka have been honoured by the German Football Association (DFB) with the Fritz Walter Medal in Gold for outstanding achievements. The 17-year-old Eichhorn had changed from Hertha BSC to Bundesligist Bayer Leverkusen in the summer. Onyeka (19), who plays for climber Elversberg, had led the German U19 as captain in the EURO 2026 to the vice title.
