Montra Electric enters international markets with first Super Auto exports
Montra Electric, India’s full-spectrum electric commercial vehicle brand, has initiated international expansion with the rollout of its Super Auto platform across Nepal, Tanzania and West Africa.
Automobile exports in July reached $6.24 billion, the highest figure ever recorded for the month of July. Exports of eco-friendly vehicles grew by 25.5%, leading the growth, while demand in major markets such as North America and the EU supported stable performance. Production and domestic sales also showed a simultaneous increase due to an increase in working days resulting from changes in summer vacation schedules.
China's car exports top 1 million again as NEVs drive the boom
NEVs made up more than half of China's car exports for two months in a row, with 553,000 cars shipped overseas, up 145.5% on last year. Total exports hit 1.043 million, up 81.3% year on year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
Chongqing's auto exports surge 57.1% in first seven months
Chongqing, a major automobile manufacturing hub in southwest China, exported vehicles worth 35.33 billion yuan (about $5.23 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 57.1% year on year, according to customs data released Thursday.
In China, new energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for a record 65.1 percent of total passenger car retail sales in July. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, this represents an increase of 11.6 percentage points compared to the same month last year, and 2.1 percentage points compared to the previous month.
