Aldi to Roll Out First Ready-Made Meals Line
The seven-meal lineup includes single-serve options under $8 and family-size meals under $15 as Aldi targets budget-conscious shoppers.
On Tuesday, Aldi Vice President of National Buying Joan Kavanaugh announced the grocer's first-ever collection of ready-made meals, debuting in October with five single-serve and two family-size options.
Rising demand for convenience among 61% of Americans prompted the move, as the grocer aims to provide fresh, affordable meal solutions for busy shoppers.
Single-Serve meals cost under $8 and family-size under $15, featuring "protein-forward, filling dishes" like Butter Chicken and macaroni and cheese with bacon.
Nationwide availability for the full collection is expected by January 2027, with Aldi planning to introduce new meal options as Aldi Finds every month throughout the next year.
Industry analysis by McKinsey found consumers increasingly view store-brand prepared foods as credible alternatives, positioning Aldi to compete directly with traditional retailers like Kroger and Whole Foods.
