Aircraft maintenance firm serving major UK airports enters liquidation after 11 years
Ryan Michael Davies of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP was appointed liquidator as the aircraft maintenance firm closed after 11 years.
Luftavia, an aircraft maintenance firm operating at London Heathrow Airport and other major UK airports, collapsed into liquidation after 11 years in business. Ryan Michael Davies of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP was appointed liquidator on September 30, according to a notice in The Gazette.
The company provided scheduled line maintenance and ad-hoc repairs across major airports including Manchester Airport and Birmingham Airport. It positioned itself as a provider of "efficient, cost-effective maintenance solutions" using Civil Aviation Authority-approved products.
Luftavia's website stated its engineers are committed to a "right first time" quality standard, receiving specific training in risk assessment. The company added, "Our partners are all respected industry operators, chosen specifically to add quality and value to Luftavia performance."
This collapse follows a difficult year for the UK high street, with major brands like Claire and Quiz closing all remaining stores. Wynsors World is also shutting 17 branches across the UK amid widespread retail disruption.
Whitbread closed all standalone branded restaurants last month, while travel companies like Wayfairer Travel Limited have suspended services "until further notice." Other retailers including River Island and Primark have also been forced to close stores this year.
