The privatisation process of the TAP is in its final and decisive phase, considering that the overall assessments of the airline are between EUR 1.4 and 2 billion and Air France-KLM is one of the two candidates for the purchase of the Portuguese airline that currently has the handling ensured by Menzies. The Council of Ministers must take the final decision on the chosen buyer in early September 2026.
Parpública has already handed over to the government the report on the binding offers of Air France-KLM and Lufthansa for the purchase of 44.9% of TAP, told Lusa official source of the Ministry of Finance.
Luís Montenegro's executive will now examine the document and, in due course, will comment on it.
Air France-KLM and Lufthansa delivered binding proposals in the privatisation process of TAP on 29 July, on the last day of the deadline.
