During excavations at Karahantepe in Şanlıurfa, a 70-centimeter-tall composite statue, believed to be approximately 11,000 years old and of a style never before seen, was unearthed. The statue, depicting a human figure seated on the back of a leopard, is expected to shed light on important questions regarding the early periods of human history.
