- According to the complaint, men in a white SUV approached the students Wednesday evening in Mukherjee Nagar and allegedly passed unwanted comments; when the women objected, the men allegedly abused them and began following them.
- Police identified driver Naman, also a Delhi University student, as a third suspect with two to three additional persons involved. An FIR was registered under Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for stalking and insult to modesty.
- Abhinav was arrested from Laxmi Nagar and Abhimanyu from Gurugram, while a senior police officer said "efforts are underway to nab the others." Police are investigating why the students approached multiple police stations before filing the complaint.
