- The incident occurred Wednesday night around 9:30 PM when four men in a white SUV intercepted the students, using abusive language and allegedly attempting to pull one into the vehicle.
- According to the complaint, the students visited three police stations over four hours before successfully filing, claiming officers initially cited jurisdiction issues to avoid registering the case.
- Deputy Commissioner of Police Akanksha Yadav confirmed the FIR and announced an inquiry into alleged procedural gaps, stating, "This matter has come to our notice, and we have initiated both legal and disciplinary action."
- Authorities have traced the white SUV and are increasing patrolling near Hindu College to prevent further incidents amid heightened safety concerns in the capital, officials said.
