1001 Threads of Mizan is bringing Arabian Nights to life, and it looks stunning

Players control three class-based heroes and can auto-summon a magic carpet for traversal and combat in a debut action-adventure from MBC Game Studio.

  • MBC Game Studio is developing 1001 Threads of Mizan, an action-adventure game drawing from Arabic folklore and One Thousand and One Nights. Players become Weavers, using divine powers to hunt and defeat enormous mythical beasts.
  • A key gameplay mechanic allows players to auto-summon a magic carpet to zip around the environment, serving as both a travel tool and strategic combat asset. The carpet's responsive handling eliminates clunky movement.
  • Combat blends Kingdom Hearts-style flashiness with souls-like pattern recognition, featuring three distinct character classes. Players choose between Yusra's long-range attacks, Malik's heavy tank role, or Sufyan's faster movement to tackle the ancient Jinn King.
  • While designed as a single-player experience, the title supports drop-in, drop-out multiplayer for up to three players. Cooperative mode encourages team-based attacks and coordinated efforts to defeat bosses.
  • MBC aims to launch the game on Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series. If the studio successfully balances these mechanics, it could become a significant release in the action-adventure genre.
