According to the communications director, 54-year-old Victor Santiago died June 29 around 7:30 p.m. He was convicted of first-degree assault and first-degree burglary in Washington County. Santiago had been serving his life sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections since 1996. An autopsy will be conducted, officials added.See the Story
