Bishop avoids tax hike

BY NATHALEE SIMONEAU At the June 9 Bishop Town Council meeting, officials unveiled their planned budget for the Fiscal Year 2026. The total budget of revenue and expenditures both equal $423,660, and the budget utilities a rollback millage rate of 1.119, down from a millage rate of 2.296, according to Town Clerk Lacy Armstrong.
